Happy Sunday Bushy Park Families!

Can you feel it? The crisp air, the earlier evenings, the sudden urge to make everything apple or pumpkin flavored… fall has officially arrived! Whether sports are in full swing, you're busy with garden cleanup, or just enjoying a hot cup of tea on the porch, there's something for everyone to love in fall. The days may be shorter, but there’s still plenty happening at Bushy Park to keep our hearts full and our calendars busy.

Keep your eyes peeled for our next student led bulletin board activity: GRATITUDE CHAINS. We are always excited to see what the kids create and how it helps keep our school beautiful.

This week, many in our community are celebrating Diwali, the Festival of Lights. It is a joyful time honoring the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. For anyone celebrating, we wish you a bright Diwali filled with peace, happiness, and light ✨

🎉 Upcoming Events & Reminders

🍨Oct 20 (TOMORROW) is the LAST DAY to order your Taharka ice cream from our fundraiser. And remember, there's also NO SCHOOL TODAY.

👉 Out of the delivery zone? Enter Bushy Park as the delivery address using Glenwood and 21738 as the zip. You can pick-up your order at the school on Thursday Oct 23 at 4:15.

🎃 Oct 24 (Friday) is Fall Fest! Fun, Games, Trunk-or-Treat, Food Trucks, something for everyone!

4:30-5 PM is a gentler start for PreK, RECC, and anyone who wants all the fun without all the fuss.

We welcome all our friends from 5-8 PM for fun, games, and of course CANDY. Please remember this is not a drop off event and all fields close at sundown.

🌮 Oct 28 (Taco Tuesday!) Spirit Day at El Azteca

Show your school spirit (and bring your appetite!) at El Azteca.

Dine in or take out on 10/28, and a portion of sales supports Bushy Park PTA programs but be sure to mention BPES when you order

🐾 Nov 15 (Saturday) is the BUSHY BEAR DASH -

FRIDAY 10/24 is the last day to register and guarantee your shirt for race day

Registrations are accepted up until the event starts, shirts will be delivered as available. All registrants get a race packet complete with fun stuff from our generous sponsors, and raffle entry for one of our amazing prizes!

Don’t forget the Costumed EXTRA FUN run for adults!

Have extended or out of town family members who want to support you? GREAT! We are still offering the chance for individuals and classes to raise funds through direct donations, top groups will win awesome prizes.

Interested in Volunteering on race day? Whether you're young, or young at heart, we have a spot for everyone!

🎨 Nov 24 –PTA Reflections Contest entries are due

Categories are dance, film, literature, music, photography, and visual arts.

Top 3 move on to county, then state, then National competitions.
