We're back (back again) and jumping into a short but busy week full of fall fun! Here’s your Sunday Scoop for October 12, a little bit later than usual but hopefully just as informative and still legible (have I mentioned that post vacation crash is so real?)

🍨 Taharka Bros Ice Cream Fundraiser

The freezer-friendly way to support the PTA!

o Order deadline: Monday October 20

o Each order helps fund enrichment programs for our Bushy Bears

👉 Out of the delivery zone? Enter Bushy Park as the delivery address using Glenwood and 21738 as the zip. You can pick-up your order at the school on Thursday Oct 23 at 4:15.

🎃 Fall Fest – Friday, October 24

Mark your calendars for one of our favorite events of the year!

o NEW early start time: 4:30 PM for Pre-K, RECC, and families who prefer a quieter Trunk or Treat experience

o Main event: 5:00 PM for games, treats, and family fun

o Want to Volunteer? Great, we’d love to have you!

o Rather drop off candy or trinkets to the front office? Great!

o Want to just click and forget about it? Also fine!

We’ve got you covered from all angles and can’t wait to see you!

🌮 Spirit Day at El Azteca – Tuesday, October 28

Show your school spirit (and bring your appetite!) at El Azteca.

o Dine in or take out on 10/28, and a portion of sales supports Bushy Park PTA programs

o Be sure to mention BPES when you order!

🐾 Bushy Bear Dash – Shirt Guarantee Deadline!

We’re gearing up for our biggest fun run yet!

o Register by Friday, October 24 to guarantee your race shirt by Dash day. This is also the last day for sponsors to be included on our super cool race shirt!

o Registrations after 10/24 will still receive a shirt, but it may arrive after race day. Don’t worry, you can still participate in all of the fun!

👉 Register BPES kids here, and everyone else can sign up, too. Adults, don’t forget about the extra-fun costume run at the end!

🎨 Reflections Contest is Open!

Does your child love to create? The PTA Reflections Contest is here, and this year’s theme is “I Belong.”

🌟 Categories: dance, film, literature, music, photography, and visual arts

📅 Entries due: Nov. 24, 2025

🏆 Top 3 move on to county, then state, then NATIONALS!

📚 Book Fair Coming Soon! November 24 – December 5
