The Sunday Scoop- November 3, 2025

Happy November, Bushy Park families! 

Hope this email finds each of you well, or as well as can be expected on a sugar fueled time change weekend.  May the coffee be as strong as my children's wills, and may bedtime come sooner rather than later.

 We’re settling into the heart of fall and gearing up for a month full of connection, creativity, and community spirit. October was one for the books — from a fantastic Fall Fest and Spirit Night at El Azteca to our students’ incredible tree planting project, we’re so grateful for everyone who came out to volunteer, participate, and make those events shine. 

Looking ahead, November brings plenty of excitement! We’ll soon gather for our monthly PTA meeting, Parent-Teacher Conferences, and our Book Fair (Nov 24–Dec 5) will open just in time for holiday reading lists. Our young artists are also getting ready to shine at K–2 Art Night, where creativity and color take center stage.  Parent's of older kids, no worries- you will have your chance for an art night this spring.  

Registrations for the Bushy Bear Dash continue, with a little over two weeks until race day.  This year's event is poised to be the most fun yet, with a live stretching clinic from Little Juniors Track Stars, food trucks including Bushy Park's own Dive Coffee Roasters, and plenty of community partners.  Check our event page for all the details.  All participants get a raffle ticket for some of our amazing prizes, additional tickets will be available for purchase.

Our Reflections contest is still open for entries through the end of the month, so there's still time for your student to share their creativity!  We're also always looking for volunteers to help keep events, and our school, running smoothly- every helping hand makes a big difference!
