Happy Sunday Bushy Park Families!
We are midway through the season affectionately known as Maycember, that magical time of year when the calendar somehow fills itself overnight, backpacks become mobile lost-and-found bins, and every week feels like three weeks rolled into one. Between spirit days, concerts, celebrations, sports-ball, field trips, MAP testing, and the countdown to summer, we are officially in the thick of the end-of-year frenzy!
This past week brought a brief respite from the hustle and bustle for some families, while continuing with the delightful chaos for others. A huge CONGRATULATIONS for the 5th grade students who completed the Simulated Congressional Hearings, and to the rest of us who remembered to participate in spirit days or show up semi-on time AND fully dressed.
Let me tell you, the excitement is only ramping up from here. Field Day is Tuesday. If you purchased a Field Day Shirt, it's finally time to take it out of the bag or remember where you hid it from yourself (ask me about the time I did this). If you volunteered, THANK YOU! Can't remember if you volunteered for Morning or Afternoon (or both?), click the links to check! Still have questions? Reach out to Ms. Z and be sure to thank both her and Mr. Cjasko for all the hard work they put into Field Day.
Be sure to keep an eye on upcoming dates and reminders so nothing sneaks up on you during this whirlwind stretch of Maycember, alternatively titled the "this email was too long to read" section:

June 10 - Spirit Day at Rosie's! Get your last minute end of year caffeine fix to keep you going through a really busy week. Be sure to mention BPES at check out!
June 11 - End of Year Carnival from 6-8 at BPES. The event is sure to have something for everyone. Food trucks including Between the Buns and The Snowy Spoon, tickets for using the inflatables are $5 and a waiver is required. We will have attendants stationed at each of the larger inflatables. Don't wait - ticket price increases on June 1st!
As always, thank you to our incredible volunteers, teachers, staff, and families for helping make all of these moments possible. The days may be busy, but they are also filled with joy, celebration, and the kind of school spirit that makes this community so special.
Here’s to surviving — and enjoying — the Maycember madness together!
