The Penultimate Push- Happy Sunday Bushy Park Families!

How is it possible that we're heading into the second-to-last week of school already? It feels like we were just figuring out where everyone put their backpacks in August, and now we're counting down the final days of another incredible year.  This week is absolutely packed with grade-level celebrations, special events, and opportunities for our community to come together whether your student is finishing Kindergarten, preparing to move on to Middle School, or somewhere in between, there's something for everyone to soak up every bit of the magic that is the Bushy Park Community.

As we hurtle toward summer break, don't forget to keep an eye on school and PTA communications so you don't miss any of the fun; these final weeks have a way of jumping straight to ludicrous speed. Before we reach those lazy summer mornings, there's still the minor detail of approximately 247,946 items on your to-do list, along with a seemingly equal number of concerts, celebrations, spirit days, classroom events, and end-of-year traditions.

For some families, it's time to scroll back through your camera roll and marvel at the difference between the first-day and last-day photos. For others, this year marks something even bigger—a first day of kindergarten transformed into a last day of fifth grade, bringing all the pride, excitement, nostalgia, and emotions that come with watching your child grow.  Remember it's normal for parents to get the first day of Middle School jitters, too.

No matter where you are on the journey, we're grateful to have shared part of it with you. Thank you for allowing us to celebrate the milestones, cheer on the accomplishments, and help create memories alongside your family this year.

Now, let's get to this week's happenings for all the TL/DR folx...

Happy Friday Bushy Park Families!

  • Tuesday June 9-  5th grade party at Red Barn Ranch.  Registration is open, reach out to the Fifth Grade Committee or room parent if you have any questions.

  • Wednesday June 10- Spirit Day at Rosies!  Grab your caffeine or sub fix and don't forget to mention BPES PTA or show the attached flyer.

  • Thursday June 11- End of Year Carnival from 6-8 at BPES.  Games, local organizations and clubs, crafts, food trucks including Blowfish Poke, Fireside Pizza, and The Snowy Spoon, tickets for using the inflatables are now $8

    • All kids using the inflatables need to have a wristband and waiver.   We will be utilizing attendants at all inflatable stations this year for increased safety measures for all our children.

    • Interested in promoting your clubs or orgs outside of BPES?  We have vendor spots open on the ticket page until tomorrow.  If you already have your vendor spot, look for communications from us for a layout map by Tuesday.

    • Weather Updates! We try our best here at the BPES PTA, but we can't control the weather.  As part of our pledge to increase communication and transparency, we will keep you updated via facebook and our webpage on any changes due to weather.  Please feel free to reach out to the PTA directly with questions or concerns, but we are crossing our fingers that no updates are needed.

  • Thursday June 18- Last Day of School and Last Spirit Day at The Snowball Stand!  From 4-7 PM, 10% of all proceeds will be donated back to the BPES PTA.

  • How are we doing?  Fill out the survey and let us know your thoughts!

Here's to making the most of every last minute of this school year—let's finish strong, make some memories, and enjoy all the excitement that this wonderful school community has planned!
