Hello Bushy Park Families!
I hope this message finds you all well, warm, and hopefully enjoying a winter wonderland. Who wants to take a guess on how long this three day weekend will actually be?
First and foremost, a huge thank you to Jasmine M and Kerry H for all their hard work bringing the Talent Show to life this week! From start to finish, it was a joyful, well-run evening that showcased our students’ creativity and confidence. We are so grateful for the time, energy, and care they poured into making it such a special night for our school community to shine bright, spotlights and all.
The good news is we survived the first of several weeks with schedule changes. Don't worry, there's plenty more to keep us all on our toes. Dates to keep in mind as we continue to navigate this wacky schedule next week:
January 26: Restaurant Night at EW Becks 7565 Main St, Sykesville, MD (School's closed, why not skip cooking, too) Remember that if the roads are rough, stay home, we will reschedule if we have to. SAFETY FIRST.
January 27: Math Night, don't forget to RSVP here (snow date information will come from BPES Admin)
January 29: Virtual Volunteer Fair at 1pm online
Further out we have:
February 3: PTA meeting, hybrid as always, but let me tell you we have an AMAZING door prize from our sponsors White Oak Tavern, a voucher for one cheeseburger a month FOR A YEAR! We will also be asking for parent help with a special surprise for the kids on the 100th day of school. Sign up here, and stick around for the PTA meeting.
February 6: Sweetheart Dance, 6:30-8:30. RSVP early as space is limited or volunteer.
February 12: Sound Bowl, Parent's Night Out! Destress and register here
February 27: Our annual Science Fair, which takes place during the school day; register your project or volunteer. This is also STEM night which will be from 6-8 PM featuring special guests "The Science Guys"
From the incredible Talent Show to all the exciting events ahead, it’s clear how much volunteers mean to our school community. With a full calendar coming up, there are plenty of opportunities to jump in and help make these moments just as memorable.
