Hi Bushy Park Families 💙

Whew! We made it through a full week of school!   From the 100th day celebrations, to a fun filled (semi-chaotic) photo safari, to Valentine's Parties in the classrooms, and a movie at lunch complete with popcorn.

Thank you to our teachers and staff who somehow manage the sugar, the glue sticks, and the glitter with grace. And thank you to our families for helping your students show up ready to celebrate friendship and connection. Another special thank you to Lauren R. for hosting our first ever Sound Bowl on Thursday and helping us relax a bit.  And congratulations to all our kids who participated in a wonderful production of Alice in Wonderland Jr. on Friday as well!

As we head into this new week, here’s what’s coming up:

✨ The SweetHeart Dance has been rescheduled!  New date is February 20. Please let us know if you have registered but are no longer able to make the new date work, we are anticipating having to close registrations due to space limitation.

✨ Spirit Night: Oscar's Ale House, Tuesday February 17

✨  Science Fair: February 27(daytime, during school). Register your student's project or volunteer to help the event run smoothly

✨ STEM Night: February 27 (eveningevent).  Come see us at our annual STEM night event featuring robots, a presentation by the Science Guys, and so much fun!

We’re also taking a moment to appreciate the bigger picture. Valentine’s Day isn’t just about cards and candy, it’s about belonging. It’s about making sure every student feels seen, safe, and valued. That heart of connection is exactly what PTA is all about. Creating opportunities for community.  Taking moments to have fun with intention.  Supporting our teachers. Building experiences that remind our kids they are part of something special.

And when we do that together we all shine a little brighter.

Here’s to a great (short) week ahead.  Wishing a joyful Lunar New Year to all who celebrate, and a peaceful and meaningful Ramadan to those observing.
