Hi Bushy Park Families!
If you read the subject line and instantly heard an 80s power ballad intro, please remember to stretch before attempting any air-guitar solos. As we head into the last FULL week of 2025, our community is going out on a high note with lots of holiday spirit, generosity, and connection. From gifting and donating, to Spirit Week fun, and yes… COOKIES, there’s a lot happening as we wrap up the year together.
We’re also coming off a very successful Book Fair, made possible by our amazing chair Erin K. with an especially huge thank you to Busy Bee volunteer Cindy H. for stepping up and covering so many shifts. Check out the PTA Newsletter for all of these details and more!
🎁 Gifts of Gratitude- Now open!
Join Bushy Park’s optional GiftCrowd to send holiday appreciation to teachers and staff. Choose any staff member or group, contribute up to $20 per recipient, and add a personal note. All donations are pooled, and staff receive gift cards of their choice—your name is shared, but not the amount.

Monday, December 15 — Festive Sweater Day
Break out the ugly sweaters, cute sweaters, and holiday characters—anything festive goes!
Tuesday, December 16 — Holiday Sock Day
Show off your most cheerful, silly, or seasonal socks.
Wednesday, December 17 — Winter Wonderland
Wear white, silver, or light blue to turn the school into a snowy scene.
Thursday, December 18 — Schoolwide Pajama Day
Comfy is the theme! Pajamas, fuzzy socks, and cozy sweaters encouraged.
Friday, December 19 — Flannel Friday
Wrap up Spirit Week in your favorite flannel.
🍪 Cookies & Community Night Friday, December 19, 6:00–7:30pm
Get ready for a cozy evening filled with cookies, creativity, and community spirit! We’re inviting all families to come together to enjoy:
A cookie bake, taste, and contest 🍪
Holiday-card making and crafts to send warm wishes to friends, family, and teachers 🖍️
Bring a gently used book to swap with friends before break 📚
Don your silliest holiday sweater and spread some cheer. 👚
We’ll also be collecting donations for the Grassroots Crisis Center — if you can, please bring an item from their “current needs” list.
Don't want to do any of this? No worries! Just show up, the PTA will be providing cookies while supplies last, and unlimited winter vibes.
🎉 Bingo Night Friday, January 9
Get ready—Bingo Night is right around the corner! Session One is nearly full, so if you’re planning to join the early session, be sure to register soon. Session Two still has plenty of space available. It’s always a fun family night, so we hope to see you there!
🎤 Talent Show Friday, January 23
Whether your student sings, dances, joke, juggles, or has a unique skill to share, this is their moment to shine. Sign-ups are now open, and we can’t wait to celebrate all the amazing talent in our community!
🔬 The Science Fair February 27, save the date!
Our annual BPES Science Fair is right around the corner. Students will have the chance to explore a question, build a model, run an experiment, or showcase any scientific curiosity while demonstrating their creativity and problem-solving skills. You can sign up your student here, or volunteer to help on the day of.
