Every year, the Bushy Park PTA is thrilled to support the National PTA Reflections Arts Program, giving our students the chance to express themselves through art, music, dance, writing, and more. This year’s theme is “I Belong!”, and we can’t wait to see how our students interpret what belonging means to them.

What Is Reflections?

Reflections is a long-running initiative from the National PTA that encourages students in Pre-K through 12th grade to explore their thoughts, feelings, and ideas creatively. It’s a celebration of originality and self-expression — and an opportunity for recognition at multiple levels.

This Year’s Theme: I Belong!

Our 2025–2026 theme, “I Belong!”, was selected by National PTA from student submissions. It’s a powerful prompt that invites participants to reflect on where — and with whom — they feel a sense of belonging.

Belonging can mean community, identity, acceptance, or home. Through this theme, students are encouraged to think deeply about what that word means to them and express it in unique, creative ways.

Final Thoughts

Reflections is more than a contest — it’s a way for our students to share their stories, feel seen, and connect with their creativity. Whether your child is a dancer, writer, singer, filmmaker, or visual artist, this is their chance to shine.

We encourage every Bushy Park student to participate, explore the theme, and most of all, have fun making something meaningful.

Let’s make this year’s Reflections celebration one of belonging, creativity, and community.
