2025 Bushy Bear Dash: Join the Fun & Community Spirit

Mark your calendars — the 2025 Bushy Bear Dash is happening on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Bushy Park Elementary School (14601 Carrs Mill Rd, Glenwood, MD).

This year’s event isn’t just a race — it’s a community celebration filled with school spirit, family fun, music, and friendly competition.

Race Options & Schedule

Courses: Participants can choose between a 3K course or a 1-mile fun run — open to adults and children of all ages and abilities.

Event Day Timeline:

10:00 AM — T-shirt pick-up & warm-ups

10:30 AM — Race begins (3K / 1-mile)

11:30 AM — Extra Fun Run (Costumed Race) for adults only (limited to 20 spots, costumes required)

Course Route: The run will begin near the staff parking lot at Bushy Park, head toward Old Bushy Park and Glenwood Middle School, then return to Bushy Park Elementary.

Registration & Fees ALL AGES WELCOME!

• Student Registration: $25 includes event t-shirt and entry into the student raffle draw

• BPES Teachers and Staff: $25

• Non-Bushy Park Kids (ages 2–18): $25

• Adults: $35

• Children under 2: Free

• ADD-ON Extra Fun Run: $10 costumed sprint for adults after the main races — limited to 20 participants. Prizes for most creative/funniest costumes. (Sorry kids, adults only)

Important: Students must register first (before adults/siblings) to have donations properly credited to them.

Fundraising & Competition

• Students can create a personal fundraising page.

• There are friendly class and grade level competitions

All proceeds benefit BPES PTA programs — supporting students, teachers, and school community initiatives.
