Reading is a fundamental part of our children's education and having a Media Center filled with books that appeal to and
delight readers at all
levels can play a considerable role in sparking that life long love of reading in a child.
The Bushy Park Media Gift Fund, sponsored by the PTA,
strives to fulfill this goal. Our children have enjoyed reading the more
than 17,000 books that have been added to the library media collection in their honor.
How to Participate
If you wish to participate during the school year, we ask that you fill out the form in the first day folder.
Your child will receive his/her book during
the birthday month. Your child will choose a new hard cover book
during his/her birthday month from an assortment of books carefully selected
by the library media specialist.
A bookplate inscribed with your child's name and dedication will be affixed to the book. We also encourage
you
to participate in the Media Gift Fund program in recognition of other occasions through out the school year.
Form to Donate
A participation form can be obtained by contacting the PTA Media Gift Fund Coordinator. Please remember to
send in your form early, allowing
at least two weeks for a bookplate to be prepared.
Completed form and money
We recommend a donation of $15.00 per book for participation in this worthy program. Please complete the form and return it,
along with your donation, payable to Bushy Park PTA Media Gift Fund), "Attention Media Gift Fund c/o Bose Abu." If you have any
